Pre-coating condition with a rusted iron part.
Apply RUSTSAMURAI directly to the rust. (RUSTSAMURAI has a three-layer structure, combining a rust-converting agent, special pigment, and water.)
The rust-converting agent and water react with the rust, and the red rust is converted into black rust, thereby suppressing its spread.
Pre-coating condition with a rusted iron part.
Apply RUSTSAMURAI directly to the rust. (RUSTSAMURAI has a three-layer structure, combining a rust-converting agent, special pigment, and water.)
What is a rust-converting reaction?
The three requirements for rust conversion are a rust-converting agent, air, and water.
With this combination, a reaction occurs that turns red rust into black rust.
RUSTSAMURAI penetrates into the rust layer, converting red rust to black rust which does not spread.
The product must be directly applied to the rust, which does not need to be removed beforehand*.
Since RUSTSAMURAI can be applied as soon as rust is spotted, it can be stored in the home and
applied at any time.
The product’ s effectiveness in preventing the recurrence of rust is outstanding. It is used by many
companies in various industries as well as by individuals and repeat customers.
*Floating rust, which comes off in clusters when touched, should be removed before application.
Chipping work (rust removal) is mandatory for conventional rust-proofing coatings. If this is not done
properly, the recurrence of rust cannot be prevented, regardless of the coating.
Complete chipping work is difficult even for professionals and a lot of time and cost are required for
such work in the present circumstances.
RUSTSAMURAI, however, can eliminate the time and cost of such chipping work and can prevent the
recurrence of rust at the same time. It is really a revolutionary paint.
Most conventional rust-related products are solvents (oil-based). RUSTSAMURAI, however, is a
water-based paint.
The product was created so that it would penetrate deeply into rust to seal it completely, taking
advantage of the highly absorptive nature of rust.
It provides a deep seal within the rust but does not have the same odor as a thinner or similar
products. Moreover, it is not combustible, making it safe for use in homes.
Since it dries quickly, despite being water-based, it can be used under any circumstances.
Note: The product should be used within six months of opening its container.
The amount of RUSTSAMURAI required for a project will vary depending on where it is applied.
Use the product after transferring the appropriate amount to a clean container according to
application.
Use the product as is if certain that the entire amount will be used.
*Leftover RUSTSAMURAI can be stored for about six months.
We highly recommend using only the required amount of the product, as it cannot be stored once it
has become diluted.
The use of conventional rust-converting agents is limited to rusted areas.
However, some parts of metal may have been previously coated whereas other parts may not even be
rusted. This can make application of the product difficult.
RUSTSAMURAI can be applied without having to discern between these parts.
This makes the coating work more convenient, thereby improving workability.
Whole surface coating is possible
(after rust is removed)
Usually coatings including rust-converting agents cannot adhere well to zinc-plated surfaces, causing blistering and peeling. As a result, coating these surfaces is difficult. RUSTSAMURAI, however, adheres well to such surfaces, and coating is possible either for touch-ups of rusted places or for the whole surface.
Usually, the use of a solvent (oil-based paint) on a water-based paint causes problems such as kinks
and peeling.
RUSTSAMURAI is revolutionary since the application of a solvent (oil-based paint) for the top coat is
possible.
Naturally, both water-based and other coatings can be applied for the top coat.
While only color available for RUSTSAMURAI is silver, finishing in the user’ s preferred color is
possible using a top coat paint.
*The coating interval must be strictly observed.
If RUSTSAMURAI has not completely dried, kinks may occur.
As a primer, RUSTSAMURAI works effectively as a rust-converting agent when applied to rusted
places or as a rust-proofing agent when applied to uncorroded metals. This makes it an excellent
surface preparation before top coat application.
As a sealer, when RUSTSAMURAI is applied to the previous coat (water-based or solvent-based), it
works effectively to prevent problems such as kinks that occur when a strong solvent or a
solvent-based coating (oil-based) is applied.
After being applied directly to rust, RUSTSAMURAI indicates that a rust-converting reaction has
occurred when the color changes to black or a brownish color.
The shade of color depends on the condition of the rust, the environment, and the type of metal.
Even when discoloration is not detected, the user can be certain that RUSTSAMURAI is working
properly.
In principle, RUSTSAMURAI should be applied twice.
If discoloration is detected, be sure to apply RUSTSAMURAI a second time.
Galvanized plates, vinyl house (pipes), or items made of iron installed outdoors will inevitably become
rusted.
Replacing them, however, can be difficult due to the costs, amount of time, and effort required.
With RUSTSAMURAI, these requirements are mitigated.
Since uncorroded items cannot be restored, corrosion prevention is possible when RUSTSAMURAI is
applied to the rust immediately after it is detected.
Maintenance with coating can be performed easily, thereby retarding the degradation of iron and
extending its life.
